Sidney Patrick Crosby (born August 7, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Crosby has won his share of awards in his four seasons in the NHL including the Art Ross Trophy in the 2006-07 season. Crosby won his first Stanley Cup Championship in 2009, as his Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings in seven games. He is the youngest captain to win a championship in the history of the NHL.
